This page is about my disturbingly bad experience buying a guitar case from Jeff Hoffee of carbonfibercases.com who turned out not honouring promises he made prior to the sale, delivering the case in the wrong color with missing features and to my disappointment with some components of lesser quality than expected for a case this expensive.

Would we ever trust a business owner who agrees prior to a sale to send replacement parts when necessary, and then violates the agreement, after the buyer had discovered that parts are missing and expresses disappointment about it?

Would we ever trust a business owner who deliveres a very expensive guitar case in the wrong color and does neither acknowledge the fact, nor respond to the complaint after the disappointed buyer adresses it?

I feel that a man like this certainly is unworthy to be trusted and i want to warn possible future victims of his dishonorable business attitude.

Fort my hoffee guitar & zipper cover case i paid roughly $2100.- including shipment and customs fee. It came, as opposed to the sample on the webpage (see picture below), without feet to enable it to stand upright. Returning was no option because of high shipping fees, so i asked for compensation, which he first offered in form of sending feet and screws, but after me asking also for installing instructions he declined with the excuse that i had been rude to him. After all i believe he realized the feet could not be installed properly by using screws on the thin carbon fibre shell. Normally they would need to be riveted to hold permanently. Could it be that Jeff Hoffee realized this and decided that his easiest way out of the problem would be to call me rude, and therefore be justified to claim that he wouldn't honour his promise?
